What is a TENS machine and why might In need one?
A Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Simulation (TENS) is a safe and effective method of pain relief, commonly used during labour.
It works by sending gentle electrical pulses through the skin, which may:

- Give you a sense of control over your labour experience
- Provide relief without interfering with your body’s natural rhythm
TENS machines are widely used and have no known adverse effects on mother or baby.
