Birth Trauma & Birth Debriefing

What is A Birth Debrief?

Did your birth leave you feeling disempowered? Were your needs not properly met?

You are not alone—1 in 3 women have experienced some form of birth-related trauma.

A birth debrief is an opportunity to have your story heard and your feelings validated. It's a space to be held with compassion, and to be supported as you move through anything that still feels unresolved.

It's also a chance to receive the tools and support you need to work through birth-related trauma—in your own time, in your own way.

What happens during a Birth Debrief?

In this one-on-one session, we will:

  • Move through any feelings or confusion you may have around your birth experience.
  • Create space to be heard and held, with no judgement
  • Debrief alone or with your birthing partner—whatever feels right for you
  • Use my experience as a midwife to explore and clarify any unanswered questions
  • Hold space for both physical and emotional trauma, gently and safely
  • Guide you through your experience and help rebuild your confidence
  • Share tools and insights I've developed through mentorship with Motheration (Lael Stone & B from core and floor restore)
  • Cover birth planning for a future birth if desired, time permitting

When should I do A Birth Debrief?

This is a deeply personal choice— there is no right or wrong time.

Some people feel things come up again during a subsequent pregnancy, and want to process before giving birth again. Others feel ready to debrief quite soon after the birth.

There is no timeline. You get to decide when you're ready to reflect, acknowledge, and begin processing your story.

Does a birth have to be traumatic for me to book a debrief?

Absolutely not.

Some people simply want their story heard, and to have  the space to reconnect with how their birth felt.

Anyone can book a debrief—whether it was a positive experience, a birth-related trauma, or something connected to breastfeeding or the postnatal period.

If it's part of your journey that's still with you, it matters. I am here to hold space for it.

How much does a debrief cost?

$175 investment for 90 minutes

Virtual consult.

This can be spent debriefing, birth planning or both.
